Obituary of Louis Sdegnante

Please share a memory of Louis to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Louis Sdegnante, aged 85, passed away peacefully on December 20, 2024, after a short illness.Born in Englewood to Luigi and Lucy Sdegnante, he had a contagious laugh and a zest for life,
Lou was a man who lived simply but fully, leaving behind countless memories filled with laughter, friendship, and adventure.

After proudly serving in the U.S. Army and being deployed to Korea after the conflict, Lou began his career in warehouse management retiring in 1996 from Binks Mfg. in Pine Brook, NJ. Lou loved the open road, taking long car trips throughout the country with his wife, Kathy. Maine held a special place in his heart. Whether enjoying a scenic drive or sipping his favorite Johnnie Walker Black, Louis found joy in life’s simple pleasures.

A skilled bowler and a devoted fan of 50’s music and classic sitcoms, he was a man of tradition and humor. He cherished evenings spent with his children, grandchildren, and friends, swapping
stories and sharing laughs that echoed long after the night ended. He is survived by his wife, Kathy (Kane), his daughters Donna and her husband, Noel Assaf, his daughter, Linda (Collins), three grandchildren, Nicholas and Ryan Assaf and Victoria Collins; a sister, Rosemarie Turchiarelli in Sebring, Florida, nephews, Tom Turchiarelli and Michael Centrella and numerous other nieces, nephews and in-laws as well as out-laws. He is predeceased by his sister Marge Centrella.
