Obituary of John F. D'Angio

John D’Angio, of Morris Plains, NJ, passed away suddenly on January 6, 2025. He was 64 years old.

Born in Brooklyn, NY and raised in Baldwin, Long Island by parents Oreste and Catherine (Gioe) along with older siblings Mark and Elizabeth. He attended SUNY and later transferred to PACE University earning a BS in Accounting.

Soon, it became clear to John that his adeptness and excitement was not in accounting but rather in Information Technology. So, he moved to New Jersey to pursue a career in IT. John had a very successful career at AT&T Capital as well as 20+ years at Verizon Wireless in Basking Ridge where he was looking forward to retiring on March 31 to pursue his hobbies – repairing cars, landscaping, and wiring anything in the house.

John leaves behind many family and friends including his wife Robin Donofrio and three step-sons – Danny (Alexis), Jonny (Lyndsey), and Tommy. He leaves his loving mother, Catherine, his brother Mark (Marianne) and sister Elizabeth. In addition, nephews Mark, Brian, and niece Allison. As well as Nina, Jim, Sam (Dani), and Natalie (Danny) Ackerman and Denise, Brad, Jake, and Jenna Jenkins. And, last but not least his new grandbaby Jaime Devon Donofrio.

John will be deeply, deeply missed and forever loved and cherished for his sense of humor, guitar playing, intelligence, and his ability to fix absolutely anything (with joy and love).
