Obituary of Jack T Hodges
~~Jack T. Hodges, 93, passed away on September 6, 2017 at Morristown Medical Center. He was born in Nashville, TN, and lived in Toms River before he moved to Florham Park, NJ, three years ago.
Jack worked as an electrician for the US Postal Service, Jersey City, NJ, until his retirement in 1993. He proudly served his country in the U S Navy during World War II and the Korean War as a Navy Petty Officer First Class. He was a member of the American Legion and U S Navy Armed Guard.
Jack is survived by his loving sons, Mark D. Hodges and his wife, Annmarie Romano Hodges, Norman S. Hodges and his wife, Linda Ulisse Hodges, and his cherished grandchildren, Scott B. Hodges, Steven B. Hodges, Allison Hodges Strauss and her husband, Derek, Leslie Hodges and Julianne Hodges as well as four great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his beloved wife, Fosca Hodges, in 2007.
Family and friends are welcome to gather on Sunday, September 10, 2017, from 4-8 pm at Burroughs, Kohr & Dangler Funeral Home, 106 Main St., Madison, NJ 07940. A Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, September 11, 2017, at 10:00 am at St. Vincent Martyr Church, Madison, NJ. Interment will be private on Tuesday, September 12, 2017.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations may be made in Jack’s memory to the Wounded Warrior Project, P O Box 758541, Topeka, KS 66675.
