Obituary of Marilyn J. Fowler

~~Marilyn J. Fowler, 89, passed away on October 6, 2017 at Morristown Medical Center. She was born in Elizabeth, NJ, and lived her adult life in Juliustown and Morristown, NJ.


Marilyn graduated from Morristown High School. She worked as a Telephone Operator at McGuire Air Force Base, Wrightstown, NJ. She was a member of St. Virgil’s Church. Marilyn loved her friends and the social activities at the Morris County Housing on Ketch Road.


She is survived by her devoted children, Robert Connelly and his wife, Nancy, New Hope, PA, Marlene Connelly, St. Petersburg, FL, Michael Connelly and his wife, Margie, Waterford, NY, Deborah Connelly, Port Richey, FL, Mary Ellen Connelly, Bradley Beach, NJ, Paul Connelly and his wife, Beverly, Drums, PA, Brian Connelly, Tarpon Springs, FL, and Linda Abbott and her husband, George, Pemperton, NJ.  She is also survived by her brother, Harold Warren and his wife, Dawn, Gloversville, NY, and her brother-in-law, Norman Fowler and his wife, Virginia, Juliustown, NJ, as well as her cherished grandchildren, Ryan and Irena Connelly, Marc and Emily Connelly, Melissa and Luke Dale, Julie Connelly, Elyse and David DeLoach, James Sibley, Daniel Kersh, , Paul Jr. and Michelle Connelly, Jenifer Abbott, and Jessica Abbott in addition to her great-grandchildren, Madeleine, Kelista and Brianna.


Marilyn was predeceased by her beloved husband, Delbert C. Fowler in 1987.


A Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, October 14, 2017 at 10:00 am St. Virgil’s Church, 250 Speedwell Ave, Morris Plains, NJ 07950. Marilyn will be buried next to her beloved spouse, Delbert C. Fowler in Juliustown, NJ.
