Debbie C. Barner of Morris Plains passed away on Tuesday, August 17, 2017 at Cottagewood Senior Community in Rochester, Minnesota after a long battle with Alzheimer’s. She was 77 years old.

Born in Uniontown, PA, Debbie lived in Madison, NJ before marrying Terry L. Barner and moving to Morris Plains. Debbie was a phlebotomist at Morristown Memorial Hospital for 40 years before retiring. She was a member of the Presbyterian Church of Morris Plains, the Bearded Collie Club and the Morris Hills Dog Training Club.

Debbie is survived by her stepson Jeffrey Barner and his wife Debbra Barner of Tucson, Arizona and her stepdaughter Brynly Nintzel of Northfield, Vermont; She is also survived by her step grandchildren: Kristin Barner; Kevin Nintzel; Matthew Nintzel; Madison Nintzel; Patricia Burnside; and Christina Cook.

A Funeral Service for Debbie will be held on Tuesday, October 24, 2017 at 11:00am at the Presbyterian Church of Morris Plains, 400 Speedwell Avenue, Morris Plains. Interment will be on Wednesday, October 25, 2017 at Lewisburg Cemetery, Lewisburg, PA. Arrangements were under the care of Dangler Funeral Home, Morris Plains.
