Obituary of Margaret M. Farrell
Margaret “Margie” M. Farrell, 69, formerly of Morris Township, more recently of Haymarket, Virginia, passed away peacefully on January 6, 2018 in Virginia surrounded by family.
Born in Rockville Center, NY, Margie resided in Morris Township for 19 years before moving to Virginia three years ago.
Margie graduated from Sacred Heart Academy in 1965. She had a successful, extensive career working as a Marketing & Admissions Coordinator for multiple Senior and Assisted Living Community facilities throughout New Jersey for over 15 years. She retired in 2014.
While living in New Jersey, Margie was also an active parishioner of Notre Dame of Mt. Carmel Church in Cedar Knolls.
Margie is survived by her devoted children, Michael Farrell, and his wife, Kim, of Haymarket, VA, Katie (Farrell) O’Neill, and her husband, Steve, of Morris Plains, DJ Farrell, and his wife, Alana, of Marshall, VA, and Colleen Farrell, of Morris Plains. She is also survived by her beloved siblings, Anne and Kevin Galligan, of Dresher, PA, Robert and Bernadette Sellers, of Ambler, PA, William and Kelly Sellers, of Merced, CA, Dorothy and Vince Randazzo, of Vienna, VA, and John and Christina Sellers, of Robbinsville, NJ; as well as her cherished grandchildren, Colin, Jack, Annabelle, Aidan, Keiran, and “Grandson-To-Be” (due in March); and her 16 adored nieces and nephews. Margie was predeceased by a niece and nephew.
Family and friends are welcome to gather for a visitation on Friday, January 12, 2018 from 4-7pm at Dangler Funeral Home, 600 Speedwell Avenue, Morris Plains. A Memorial Mass for Margie will be held on Saturday, January 13, 2018 at 9:30am at Notre Dame of Mt. Carmel Church, 75 Ridgedale Avenue, Cedar Knolls. As a tribute to Margie, family and friends are welcome to wear her “signature color” red to her Memorial Mass. Interment of Margie’s ashes will be at Holy Rood Cemetery, Westbury, NY at a later date.
