Obituary of Patricia M. Gibney, MD

Patricia M Kamsler Gibney, MD, longtime resident of Morris Township and widow of Joseph F Gibney, MD, passed away on January 14, 2018, at age 95.  She is survived by her sons Franck, Robert and Richard, daughter-in-law Danièle, and grandchildren Marion, Nicolas and Emilie.  Patricia was born in Haverhill, Mass in 1922 and grew up in the Bronx and Manhattan, where she graduated Hunter College in 1941.  She was a graduate of Temple University School of Medicine in 1944, served as Lt Commander US Public Health Service during the Korean War, and was a Diplomate American Board of Anesthesiology, Fellow of the American College of Anesthesiologists, member of the Morris County Medical Society, Medical Society of the State of New Jersey, American and New Jersey Society of Anesthesiologists, Dover General Hospital Anesthesia Staff, Director of Medical Services at Novartis Pharmaceutical Corp.  Patricia was a Vestry member and Warden of St Paul’s Episcopal Church, Morris Plains, where services will be held on Saturday, January 20, at 10 AM.  Offerings are requested for St Paul’s in lieu of flowers.  She will be sorely missed by all who knew her, and most especially by her children. Arrangements were under the care of Dangler Funeral Home, Morris Plains.
