Obituary of Giacomo "Jack" Faccenda

Giacomo “Jack” Faccenda, 94, passed away on June 14, 2018 at Florida Memorial Medical Center. He was born and raised in Morristown, NJ, before moving and raising his family in Cedar Knolls NJ. He moved to Florida after retiring and has lived in Ormond By the Sea for the past 27 years.

Jack graduated from Morristown High School then went on to get his barber’s license. He worked with his father, Ferdinand, and brother John as owners of Lackawanna Barber Shop in Morristown. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus in Morristown. Jack was a member of the Cedar Knolls Volunteer Fire Department and did volunteer work at All Souls Hospital, Morristown Memorial Hospital in Morristown and Bayley Ellard High School in Madison NJ.

He is survived by his children, Fred Faccenda, of Gilbert, Arizona, and Nancy Faccenda, of Ormond By the Sea, Florida, his grandchildren, Jaimee Faccenda, of Phoenix, Arizona and Christopher Faccenda, of Gilbert, Arizona and his great-granddaughter, Emilia Faccenda, of Gilbert, Arizona, as well as his brother John Faccenda, of Denville, NJ; as well as many cousins, nieces and nephews.

Jack was predeceased by his wife, Lucy, in 1993, and his sisters, Josephine Capezzuto and Ann Moglia.

Family and friends are welcome to gather for a viewing on Tuesday, June 26, 2018, from 4:00pm to 8:00pm at Dangler Funeral Home, 600 Speedwell Avenue, Morris Plains, NJ 07950.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations may be made in Jack's memory to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, or the Make a Wish Foundation.
