Obituary of Gary Seritello

Gary Seritello was born in Orange, NJ to Elizabeth “Betsy” and Gaton Seritello, on April 21, 1960.  He graduated from Our Lady of the Valley HS and went on to earn his B.A. degree from Seton Hall University.  He worked for Canon for many years, then went on to pursue a brokerage degree on Wall Street before moving to Florida, where he worked as a broker, for IDI Professional Services in Boca Raton.

Gary was a natural born athlete; he excelled in wrestling in both high school and college. He loved skiing, both water and snow and loved his dogs; Sandy, Holly and Scooby.  He enjoyed talks with his family, his many friends, and counseling those in need.  He was a loving soul, with a heart of gold, who loved his family and friends, as we loved him. He will be sorely missed and in our hearts forever.

Gary is predeceased by his adoring mother, Betsy, and is survived by his beloved father, Gaton of Ortley Beach, NJ; his loving sisters, Debbie Seritello, of Ft Lauderdale, FL, Gayle and Michael Gerardo, of Chester, NJ, and Betsy Seritello and Dante Corvelli, of Whippany, NJ.  He is also survived by his dear Aunt Carol Reitmeyer, of Berkeley, NJ; his uncle George Cross, of Toms River; his Aunt Diane Guzzi, of Ortley Beach, NJ; and his many loving cousins; Kim and Rick Kanaley, Anthony and Sharon Ciavatta, Michael and Heather Ciavatta, Sharon Johnson, Peter and Raymond Guzzi, David and Teresa Cross, Donna Deeny; and all of their children.

Family and friends are welcome to gather on Wednesday, August 1st from 4-8pm at Dangler Funeral Home, 600 Speedwell Avenue, Morris Plains, NJ. A Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, August 2nd at 10 am at Notre Dame of Mount Carmel Church, 75 Ridgedale Avenue, Cedar Knolls, NJ. Interment will be private.
