Obituary of Joseph Pyontek
Joseph “Joe” Andrew Pyontek, 87, passed away at Morristown Medical Center on August 17, 2018. He was born in New York City and resided in Whippany, NJ and Morris County most of his life.
Joe proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.
Joe graduated from Fairleigh Dickinson University with a degree in Business Administration. He worked as a Manager of Financial Planning for Warner Lambert in Morris Plains for 20 years, until his retirement in 1991. Prior to this position, he worked for Pittsburgh Plate Glass. He was also a parishioner of Our Lady of Mercy Church in Whippany.
Joe is survived by his devoted wife, Catherine (Triano) Pyontek; and by his daughter, Laurie and her husband, Drew, and their children, JD and Michael; his daughter, Lynn and her husband, Mark, and their children, Brian and Brad; and his daughter, Lisa, and her husband, John, and their children, Kyle and Kurt. He is also survived by his sister, Julie Tenhengel, and her husband, Jackie, of Palm Coast, FL.
Family and friends are welcome to gather on Monday, August 20, 2018 from 4-8 pm at Burroughs, Kohr & Dangler Funeral Home, 106 Main St., Madison. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, August 21, 2018, at 11:00 am at Our Lady of Mercy Church, 90 Whippany Road, Whippany. Interment will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Whippany.
