Obituary of Martin Chiarolanzio
Martin Chiarolanzio, age 88, from Madison passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by his family on August 20, 2018.
He was a heavy equipment operator for Local 825 Operating Engineers. He worked for Herms & Young in Morristown and Napp & Grecco in Newark for many years.
He served in the military during the Korean War and was stationed in Fort Knox, Kentucky. He was a cook while in the service.
He leaves his wife, Esther of 58 years along with his five children. Marty, his wife, Joanne and their children Patrick, Luke, John and Cori. Mark and his children, Marissa and Jesse; Matthew and his children Nicholas and Gina. Melanie and her husband, Donald Fink and Melissa and her husband, Bob Busch.
He was predecessed by his brother, Nunzio and sister, Carmela Zito. He leaves one brother, Peter and many nieces and nephews.
Martin was a great husband, father and grandfather. He enjoyed attending their football games and other events and taking his grandchildren fishing. He will be sorely missed.
A Funeral Mass will be held Thursday, August 23, 2018 at 10 am at Holy Family Church, 1 Lloyd Ave., Florham Park, NJ. Inurnment will follow at St. Vincent Cemetery, Madison, NJ.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, Tennessee 38105, or online at https://www.stjude.org/. Funeral arrangements are under the care of Burroughs, Kohr, & Dangler Funeral Home, Madison.
