Obituary of Bomei "Alice" Chongma

Bomei “Alice” Chongma, 67, passed away peacefully at her home in Florham Park on September 7, 2018. She was born in Miaoli, Taiwan and lived in Florham Park for the past 26 years.

Alice graduated from the National Taiwan University in 1975 with a Master’s Degree in Economics. She did her doctoral graduate studies at University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where she met her future husband.  She worked as an assistant professor at Montclair State College and spent 20 years working at AT&T before she moved to work at Metlife.  Afterwards, she worked for Mass Mutual as a Financial Advisor until her retirement in 2015. She was a member of the Chinese Community Church of Northern Jersey.

Alice is survived by her devoted husband, Professor T.C. Ernest Ma and her loving children, Franklin Ma and Regina Ng and her husband, Kam Wing Ng. She is also survived by her cherished grandchildren, Asher Ng and Evelyn Ng as well as her sisters, Bao Chen Chong, Bao Hua Chong, Anna Chong and her brothers, Yi Zhong Chong and Kai Wen Chong and many nieces and nephews.

Family and friends are welcome to gather on Wednesday, September 12, 2018, from 6-9 pm at Burroughs, Kohr & Dangler Funeral Home, 106 Main Street, Madison, NJ 07940.  A separate Memorial Service will be held at Chinese Community Church of Northern Jersey, 272 Green Village Road, Green Village, NJ 07935 on Sunday, September 16, 2018 at 2pm. Interment will be private.
