Obituary of Bernice A. Scagnelli

Bernice A. Scagnelli, 93, passed away on November 6, 2018 at the Oaks at Denville. She was born in New York City and resided in Morris Plains until she moved to Denville five years ago.

Bernice graduated from the Bellevue Hospital Nursing Program. She worked as a Registered Nurse at Morristown Memorial Hospital for 10 years until her retirement in 1985. She was a member of St. Virgil’s Church and as a Prime Time member participated in many social activities.

Bernice is survived by her loving children, John Scagnelli, Warren, NJ, Robert Scagnelli, Hackettstown, NJ, and Gail Scagnelli, Medford, Oregon. She is also survived by her sister, Marion Bonanno, Yonkers, NY, as well as her cherished grandchildren, Jeffrey and Christopher, and her great-grandchildren, Alexandra and Emily.

Family and friends are welcome to gather on Saturday, November 10, 2018, from 8-9:30 am at Dangler Funeral Home, 600 Speedwell Ave., Morris Plains 07950. A Funeral Mass will follow at 10:00 am at St. Virgil’s Church, Morris Plains. Entombment will follow at Gate of Heaven Mausoleum, East Hanover.
