Obituary of Lois Parks Jones

Lois Parks Jones (Townsend), 88, passed away on November 16, 2018 in Marietta, GA, where she lived for the past year.  She was born and raised in Merchantville, NJ, but until last year had spent 50 years of her life in Morristown, NJ.  Lois is a graduate of Pierce Business School in Philadelphia, PA and worked for the  Pennsylvania Railroad as an executive secretary.  She became a devoted wife & mother, and homemaker best known for her Christmas cookies and apple pies.  She also very much enjoyed quilting, cross stitch, bridge, and gardening.  Lois was a member of the Presbyterian Church in Morristown, NJ for 50 years, where she was especially active in Circle 11.   

Lois is survived by her loving children, Kathleen Carberry, Acworth, GA and James Parks, Santa Clarita, CA.  She is also survived by her cherished grandchildren, Brian, Kristin, Jonathan, and Martina and great-grandchildren Harper, Annabelle, Sienna, and Lachlan.  Lois was predeceased by her husband of 52 years, Joevert Parks, and her second husband of 10 years, David Jones.

Family and friends are invited to attend her Memorial Service on Wednesday, November 28, 2018 at 1:30 PM at the Chapel of the Presbyterian Church in Morristown, NJ.  In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to the Presbyterian Church in Morristown, NJ.
