Obituary of Leonard F. Giaco
Leonard F. Giaco, 81, of Morris Plains, NJ passed away suddenly on November 25, 2018 in Cape May.
Born in Brooklyn, NY, Leonard resided in Somerset before moving to Morris Plains 20 years ago.
Leonard proudly served his country as a Private in the U.S. Army.
Leonard worked for J.C. Penny for 20 years before he retired in 1998. He was also a parishioner of St. Virgil’s Church in Morris Plains.
Leonard is survived by his loving companion, Loisann Russo; and his devoted sons, Christopher T. Giaco, of Long Beach, CA, and Leonard S. Giaco, of Franklin Park, NJ. He is also survived by his beloved sister, Clara Quintana, of Staten Island, NY; as well as his adored granddaughter, Cataleya V. Giaco; and a large and loving extended family.
Family and friends are welcome to gather on Thursday, November 29, 2018 from 5-8pm at Dangler Funeral Home, 600 Speedwell Avenue, Morris Plains. A Funeral Mass for Leonard will be held on Friday, November 30, 2018 at 10:00am at St. Virgil’s Church, 250 Speedwell Avenue, Morris Plains. Interment will be private.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations in memory of Leonard may be made to: St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital (www.stjude.org).
