Obituary of Edward "Ed" J. Coss
Edward "Ed" J. Coss, 86, a life-long resident of Morris Plains, passed away on January 15, 2019.
Ed graduated from Morristown High School in 1950. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy during the Korean Conflict.
Ed was Chief Operating Clerk for JCP&L for 38 years. He was a parishioner of St. Virgil’s Church; and was a member of the Morris Township Senior Citizens Club, and the VFW Post 3401 in Morris Plains.
Ed is survived by his dear nieces and nephews, Bob Daniher (Gerrie), Jeanne Killeen (Chris), Karen Wiatroski (Greg), Mike Daniher (Michelle), Pat Schernce, and Judy Schroeder (Will), and their respective families. He was predeceased by his beloved siblings, Walter Coss, Francis Coss, and Helen Daniher.
Family and friends are welcome to gather on Monday, January 21, 2019 from 2-5pm at Dangler Funeral Home, 600 Speedwell Avenue, Morris Plains. A Funeral Mass for Ed will be held on Tuesday, January 22, 2019 at 10:00am at St. Virgil’s Church, 250 Speedwell Avenue, Morris Plains. Interment will follow at Holy Rood Cemetery, Morristown.
