Obituary of Rita B. Murray

Rita B. Murray (nee Morrison), 101, passed away peacefully on January 17, 2019 in Stirling, NJ. She was born in Morristown, NJ and resided in Morristown her whole life  

Rita graduated from Morristown High School. She was a homemaker who lovingly took care of her family. She was a member of St. Margaret’s Church, Morristown, where she served as a Eucharistic Minister.

She is survived by her devoted children, Rev. Brendan Murray, Kevin Murray and his wife, Debra, Susan Koeller, and Brian Murray and his wife, Teresa, as well as her cherished grandchildren, Timothy, Christopher, Ryan, Kyle, Brendan, Marie, David, Stephen, Joseph, James, Elizabeth, John, Celine, Hannah, Patrick, and Collette. She is also survived by 12 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Rita was predeceased by her husband, Brendan J. Murray in 1994.

Family and friends are welcome to gather on Wednesday, January 23, 2019, from 3-8 pm at Dangler Funeral Home, 600 Speedwell Ave., Morris Plains, NJ 07950. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, January 24, 2019, at 10:00 am at St. Margaret’s Church, 6 Sussex Ave., Morristown, NJ 07960. Interment will follow at Holy Rood Cemetery, 61 Whippany Road, Morristown, NJ.
