Obituary of Marie N. Pelosi

Marie N. Pelosi, 95, of Ledgewood, passed away suddenly on February 1, 2019.

Born in Newark, Marie resided in Bloomfield before moving to Ledgewood 20 years ago.

Marie graduated from Barringer High School in Newark in 1941. She was a homemaker, and a parishioner of St. Therese Church in Succasunna.

Marie is survived by her devoted children, Paul F. Pelosi, Betty Aponte, and Lillian DeVito (John). She is also survived by her cherished grandchildren, Vincent Pelosi (Theresa), Alana Pelosi (Pierson), Nicholas Pelosi (fiance Corine Turnbull) , Evan Aponte, Anne Marie Aponte, Richard Aponte (Kristyn), Kerrie Aldira (Sam), and Angel DeVito; as well as her adored great-grandchildren, Joseph Pelosi, Jacqueline Pelosi, Evelyn Aponte, Lilly Catterson, and Judah Aldira; and five nieces and nephews. Marie was predeceased by her husband, Richard, Sr. in 2007, her son, Richard, Jr., her brother, Lt. Col. Gerald Nisivoccia, and her daughter-in-law, Maryann Valiant Pelosi.

Family and friends are welcome to gather on Wednesday, February 6, 2019 from 2-4 & 7-9pm at Dangler Funeral Home, 600 Speedwell Avenue, Morris Plains. A Funeral Mass for Marie will be held on Thursday, February 7, 2019 at 10:00at St. Therese Church, 151 Main Street, Succasunna. Interment will follow at Glendale Cemetery, Bloomfield.
