Obituary of John W. Sluk

John W. Sluk, 81, of Morristown, passed away February 8, 2019 surrounded by his loving family. Born in Iselin, NJ, John moved to Morris Plains, NJ before residing in Morristown, NJ for the past 43 years.

John graduated from Woodbridge High School and furthered his education at Rutgers University, graduating from Philadelphia College of Pharmacy and Science with a Bachelors of Science in Pharmacy degree in 1962. He went on to become Pharmacist and Co-Owner of Towne Pharmacy in Cedar Knoll, NJ and later, Co-Owner of Madison Pharmacy in Madison, NJ before retiring in 2000.

He was a parishioner of St. Margaret of Scotland Roman Catholic Church and a member of Lyons Club and Phi Delta Chi Fraternity.

John is survived by his devoted wife, Maureen (nee Devine) Sluk and their caring children, John C. Sluk, Patrick F. Sluk and wife, Denise, Tara C. Stay and husband, Scott and Paul Matthew Sluk. John is also survived by his 9 adoring grandchildren and cherished sister, Rose Wickman, and many beloved nieces and nephews. John is predeceased by his sisters, Clare Nahass and Grace Grewe.

A Memorial Mass will be celebrated Saturday, March 16, 2019 at 11 am at St. Margaret of Scotland Roman Catholic Church, 6 Sussex Avenue, Morristown, NJ 07950.
