Obituary of Javier A Avelar

Javier Avelar, 21, of Morristown, passed away on November 1, 2015 at Morristown Medical Center. Javier was a young man who was full of courage and loved life! After graduating from Morristown High School in 2013, he enrolled into Morris County College. During Javier’s freshman year of college, he was shockingly diagnosed with an aggressive form of Colon Cancer. After a series of rigorous surgeries, Javier’s battle became even more challenging as his kidneys began to fail. Even with all of the pain and suffering, this courageous young man continued to root for his favorite soccer team “Real-Madrid” and fought his fight without a single complaint. This beautiful spirit has become our HERO! Javier is survived by his loving parents, Rafael and Rosa Avelar, and his devoted sister, Iris Avelar, all of Morristown. Friends and family are welcomed to gather on Wednesday, November 4, 2015 from 4-8pm at Dangler Funeral Home, 600 Speedwell Avenue, Morris Plains. A Funeral Mass for Javier will held on Thursday, November 5, 2015 at 10:00am at St. Margaret’s Church, 6 Sussex Avenue, Morristown. Interment will follow at Holy Rood Cemetery, Morris Township.
