Obituary of Lucia A DeMaio

Lucia “Lucy” DeMaio, 96, of Morris Plains, NJ passed away on March 17, 2016 at Sunrise of Morris Plains. Born in Morris Plains, Lucy resided in Morristown before moving to back to Morris Plains 62 years ago. Lucy graduated from Morristown High School. She worked as a Receptionist at Anchor Swim Club in Whippany for 25 years before she retired. She was also a member of St. Virgil’s Church in Morris Plains. Lucy is survived by her devoted sons, James DeMaio and his wife, Lorna, and Glenn W. DeMaio. She is also survived by her cherished grandchildren, Jim, Jr., Rose, Douglas, Bobbie, Christopher, Natasha, Glenn, Jr., Justin, Jennifer and Travis; as well as her adored great-grandchildren, Victoria, David, Anthony, Rory, Adria, and Christian. Lucy was predeceased by her loving husband, James J. DeMaio (2002); and her beloved siblings, Rose, Mary, Lilian, and Alex. Family and friends are welcome to gather on Wednesday, March 23, 2016 from 5-8pm at Dangler Funeral Home, 600 Speedwell Avenue, Morris Plains, NJ. A Funeral Service for Lucy will be held on Thursday, March 24, 2016 at 11:00am at the Funeral Home. Entombment will follow at Gate of Heaven Mausoleum, East Hanover.
