Obituary of Madeline M Michalski

Madeline M. Michalski, 85, passed away on October 28, 2016. She was born in Queens, NY, and lived in Morristown, NJ, since 1964. Madeline received her certification as a Registered Nurse. She lovingly took care of her family as a homemaker and, as a devoted daughter, took care of her mother, Louise Winter, during a long and debilitating illness. She was dedicated to serving others and volunteered at the Church of the Redeemer Soup Kitchen in Morristown, Meals on Wheels, Greystone Park Psychiatric Hospital and Morristown Memorial Hospital. She was also a member of St. Margaret’s Church, Morristown, NJ. Madeline is survived by her children, Louise Cort, and her husband, James, Tobyhanna, PA, Walter Michalski and his wife, Andrea, McMurray, PA, John Michalski and his fiancée, Shauna Smith, Morristown, and Caroline Michalski and her husband, Luciano Bruno, Branchville, NJ. She is also survived by her cousin, Andrew Winter, Long Island, NY, who was a brother to her as well as eight loving grandchildren, Emily, Charlotte, Rowan, Walter J., Wesley, Annie, Abby, Anna and a great-grandchild, Arianna Moog. She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Walter R. Michalski in 1991. Family and friends are welcome to gather on Friday, November 4, 2016, from 2-4pm and 7-9pm at Dangler Funeral Home, 600 Speedwell Ave., Morris Plains, NJ 07950. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated for Madeline on Saturday, November 5, 2016, at 12:00pm at St. Margaret’s Church, 6 Sussex Ave., Morristown, NJ 07960. Interment will follow at Holy Rood Cemetery, Morristown, NJ. The family requests that donations may be made in Madeline’s memory to Meals on Wheels, P.O .Box 1706, Morristown, NJ 07960.
