Carol E. Fletcher

Age 86 – Morris Plains, NJ

Earned her angel wings entering eternal life on December 9, 2019.  Carol born March 1, 1933 daughter of Alfred & Estelle Riedel of Hasbrouck Heights, NJ and sister of Donald. She joins her beloved husband of 59 years, Edward J. Fletcher, residing at Somerset Hills Memorial Park, Basking Ridge, NJ.

Mrs. Fletcher moved to Morris Plains, NJ in 1960 spending her life & world enjoying her (5) boys, Brian and his wife Jeanne, Glenn and his fiancé Carol, Kevin and his wife Jackie, Scott and his wife Patty, Bruce and his wife Lorre in a home built by her husband Ed.

Carol enjoyed building her extensive rock walls & gardens while making baskets of love, an avid member of the Garden Club, and annually traveled to Philadelphia Flower Show.

She is survived by (12) grandchildren, Kristy, Kelly, Glenn, Michael, Meghan, Samantha, Kevin, Grant, Gabrielle, Brendan, Scott, and Blaine and recently became a great grandmother.

Carol was first & foremost “MOM” & “Gramma” lovingly, surviving (5) boy’s family’s memories, adventures, activities, & challenges while supportive at all times of her late husband Ed.

Employed by Welcome Wagon, Carol found time to sincerely welcome new arrivals to neighboring communities. Mrs. Fletcher spent many years volunteering in the Morris Plains school activities with the boys and at Greystone Hospital, catholic church of Notre Dame, & election polls while supporting her husband’s political office.

Funeral services will be held on December 13, 2019 at 2:00 - 4:00 pm & 7:00 - 9:00 pm at Dangler Funeral Home, 600 Speedwell Ave, Morris Plains, followed by a Funeral Mass on December 14, 2019 at 9:00 am at Notre Dame of Mt Carmel Church, in Cedar Knolls, NJ. Interment will follow at Somerset Hills Memorial Park, Mt Airy Rd, Basking Ridge, NJ 07920.
