Obituary of Manuel Da Silva

Manuel Goncalves Da Silva, 69, passed away in Valle De Bravo, Mexico on December 3, 2019. He was born in Touguinha, Portugal. He was a life-long resident of Morristown, NJ. 

He graduated from the State University of NY of Agriculture and Technology at Cobleskill with a Degree in Computer Science. He was the founder of Computer Inventory Applications, where he worked for over 40 years, and Co-Founder of Preferred Health Resources. He then worked as the Co-Founder and Chief Technology Officer of AdvantEdge Healthcare Solutions until his retirement in 2016. 

Manuel was a member of St. Virgil’s Church, Morris Plains. He enjoyed boating and spending time with his family at the lake. His many hobbies included car racing, paragliding, and motorcycles. He was an avid traveler and often visited his extensive family in Portugal.

He is survived by his devoted wife, Christine Da Silva, and his loving children, Melissa Gringeri and her husband, John, Paulo Da Silva and His wife Allison, Matthew Da Silva and his wife, Vanessa as well as grandchildren, Abigail, Isabel, Jake, Nina,Jamie, Mia, and Colette. He is also survived by his sister, Maria Odete Da Silva, Touguinha, Portugal, many cousins and family in Portugal. 

Family and friends are welcome to gather on Sunday, December 15, 2019, from 2-6 pm at Dangler Funeral Home, 600 Speedwell Ave., Morris Plains, NJ. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Monday, December 16, 2019 at 10 am at St. Virgil’s Church, Morris Plains. Inurnment of ashes is private.
