Gerry and I were both sales reps for the same company, and having adjoining sales territories, would meet up to discuss selling strategies, new product marketing, customers, this and that problem, etc.
When we were not meeting together, we chatted several times a week on the internal company voice mail, addressing a multitude of common interests, company and non-company. At company meetings, we got together and kept chatting it up.
We were friends!
