My sincerest condolences. Tony D as we called him was one of my favorite teachers at CTHS. His chemistry class was my favorite class most likely because of his teaching style. I was lucky to also be one of his softball players. As poor as our record was year after year, he was always so encouraging to all of us. After graduating from college, I remember visiting him at his summer home in Cape Cod while on a trip with some friends. We had lunch and chatted about my undefined career path. He was so supportive and encouraging as I was about to enter the real world with little clue as to what I wanted to become. He was a wonderful mentor and terrific person. Tony D will be greatly missed.

My condolences to the family members but please know that he leaves an everlasting memory for so many whom he educated and knew during his lifetime. We had some remarkable teachers in Chatham Township and he still stands out as one of the best. To this day I rely on many of the fundamental sciences taught by Mr. DeSantis and his colleagues. To you Diane, my sincere sympathies. We schooled together and danced together and so glad you shared your dad with all of us. He will remembered for a long time.
