Please share a memory of Laurie to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Laurie Rafuse, 67, of Morris Plains, NJ passed away on August 3, 2021. Laurie is survived by her loving husband of 45 years, Gary; and her devoted children, Brent Rafuse (wife Gretchen), Gregory Rafuse (wife Stacy), and Christen Rafuse (husband Cameron Morissette). She is also survived by her grandchildren, Luke and Amelia Rafuse, and her beautiful 99-year old mother, Jenny Mancuso; as well as her dear siblings, Andrea Heller, Lou Mancuso, Debbie Vayhinger, and David Mancuso, and their children. Laurie dedicated her life to children personally and professionally. She worked as a Teacher's Aide at the Morris Plains Borough School for over 20 years, until she retired in 2021. Her family was everything to her - especially her grandchildren, whom she loved and cherished dearly. Laurie was loved so much by her family, friends, neighbors, and dog Scout. Born in Bronx, NY, she resided in Morris Plains for the past 33 years and made the town her home. In her spare time, Laurie enjoyed being on the beach and spending time at the family vacation home near Bethany Beach, Delaware. Visiting will be on Monday, August 9, 2021 from 3-6pm, with a Funeral Service at 6pm, at Dangler Funeral Home, 600 Speedwell Avenue, Morris Plains. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations in memory of Laurie be made to Wounded Warrior Project. (www.woundedwarriorproject.org).
