Aunt Carol, if God gave you the same reception you've given everyone in your life, it must have been something else. I have no doubt He did.
Bless your amazing saintly soul. You are gone from here but in our hearts forever. Thank you for being an amazing Aunt, who showed us all how to treat one another.

Carol will always be the quintessential grandma. You visited and were welcomed, the way we were when we grew up. The door was always open and you were made to feel like you mattered. The first time we attended one of the large family gatherings at Steve and Cheryl's, we were nervous meeting everyone, so Carol led us around introducing us to everyone. You were never an outsider, and her family always accepted you as one of their own. I never realized how much I missed that familiar acceptance of a close family I knew in childhood until of l met John & Carol. She was one of the last of a generation where a text message was a poor excuse for a chat on the front stoop. And the Behrs are the last of the houses I beep at when I drive by, just as I did to my best friends when I was a kid. A beautiful spirit has passed to a wonderful place. God blessed you Carol, and you spread that to all of us.
