I am so sad to hear of Jimmy’s passing. He used to call himself “Uncle Jimmy” to me because he was good friends with my dad. He used to call me the Lyndsmeister as a kid, he was always joking around. I miss those days on Lake Champlain so bad. Rest In Peace Uncle Jimmy ❤️❤️❤️

So very sorry to hear of Jimmy's passing. He was a good man and a good friend. He always had a smile on his face, a quick laugh and a warm embrace for friends and family. We spent many fun times together out on Lake Champlain and wonderful dinners at Juniors in Colchester. He loved reminiscing and talking and laughing. I will remember Jimmy as one of the Good Guys. Rest in Peace.

I am very sorry to hear about the passing of Mr. James Spinello. He was a great friend to The Knights of Columbus of Morristown, Nj and a wonderful person. Jimmy made every smile in his presence and he enjoyed very much being a Friendly Son of Saint Patrick.
My heartfelt Sympathy

Jimmy was a true gentleman and went of his way for everybody he knew. He was the epitome of selfless and generous. He was very supportive of my parents especially at times of ill health and trouble he was always looking to help. Lots of wonderful times with Jimmy at games and other social functions. He treated everyone with kindness and compassion. He never judged anyone or had a bad thing to say about anyone. A true gentleman. Rest In Peace.

Jimmy was a good friend. I will always remember the good works he did, especially all the years of support he gave to me, Anne and the Grant's in helping with Project Children. He was always so excited to help sponsor the kids and ensure they had a meaningful time. He will be missed.

Habitat for Humanity of Monroe County, PA, has lost a wonderful supporter with the passing of Jimmy. All of his many friends at Habitat will feel his absence, especially the next time the karaoke machine is turned on at a special event. No one sang with such full throated happiness as Jimmy. He will be missed, but his smile and his good heart will live on in our memories.

One of my favorite Jimmy memories come from the 70s when he took me to the Garden for my first Rangers game. I would guess I was around 8 or 9. As I was with Jimmy of course we had great seats. Every time a puck wizzed into the crowd I wanted to catch it to no avail. In the late third period Jimmy asked if I would be alright by myself if he went to the bathroom. I gulped and said of course. Five minutes later Jimmy came back and gave me a printed Rangers hockey puck. Simply the best. A kind beautiful person. Eddy D’Alessandro, Jr.

Years ago I remember Aunt Grace telling a story during a holiday dinner. The family was staying in Cortina Italy and having dinner with some important guests and being it was Italy they were speaking Italian. Jimmy interrupts the conversation, and not knowing how to ask in Italian, he says "passo the breado". Aunt Grace of course was mortified but Jimmy just laughed. I'm not sure where everyone was when this picture was taken but Jimmy is front and center. Seeing this picture reminded me of this story.
Jimmy truly had one of the biggest hearts of anyone I've ever known. When he asked you how you were doing, it wasn't just conversation. He listened and honestly cared.
