Obituary of Diane Marie Rocco

Diane Marie Rocco, 68, of Morris Plains passed away on March 26, 2022. 

Born and raised in Morristown, Diane resided in Morris Plains for the past 25 years. 

Diane graduated from Bayley Ellard High School and went on to graduate from Monmouth University.  She began her nursing career at Morristown Memorial Hospital and spent the last ten years working for the Newark Board of Education as the school nurse for Abington Avenue School.  Her most beloved part of her nursing career from which she retired in 2019.   

Diane was a parishioner of Notre Dame of Mt. Carmel Church, Cedar Knolls, NJ. 

Diane was predeceased by her loving parents, Frances T. (nee DeSimone) Rocco and Anthony Rocco.  Diane is survived by her Partner-in-Love, Richard Klimanski, of Morris Plains; and her dear sister, Frances T. (nee Rocco) Albanese, and her husband, Antonio, of Toms River, NJ. She is also survived by her cherished niece and nephews, Anthony and Katie Albanese, of Audubon, NJ, and Nicholas Albanese, of Toms River, NJ; as well as her adored great-nieces and nephew, Shawn, Josephine, and Sarah Albanese, of Audubon, NJ.  She is also survived by her treasured Aunt Marie and Uncle Joey Simone, as well as many loved cousins.

Diane will always be known for her love of travel and for the people in her life! She is survived by numerous Lifetime Friends that have filled her heart and albums with love, laughter, and memories. 

Family and friends are welcome to gather on Thursday, March 31, 2022 from 5-8 pm at Dangler Funeral Home, 600 Speedwell Avenue, Morris Plains. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, April 1, 2022 at 10:00 am at Notre Dame of Mt. Carmel Church, 75 Ridgedale Avenue, Cedar Knolls. Interment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Hanover.
