Ray's kindness to my family, especially my daughter Heather, will always be cherished. He became a beloved grandfather-like figure in her life, given that her grandparents live so far away. Ray was a gentle soul, loving and supportive, a class act and a gentleman of the highest order. He will be much missed!

Ray was a very special person in the lives of Carol and Nick Kurilko. We remained friends with him and especially allowed us to get ingaged in 1968 in his BOQ room at West Point when he was aide to the comandant. We lived in Chatham NJ after I got out of the Army in 1975. I got a job at Citicorp and he was instrumental in helping me get that job. While at West point as a plebe and his roommate Rich Donahue lived right across the hall from me,Ollie Johnson and Hank Toczylowski and there were many a Sunday night when all of us had to help Ray and Rich get in their beds as they always had a great time when on leave. I played golf with Ray at the Army Football Club golf outings at West Point and always enjoyed talking about our children. Ray was a true gentleman and great leader and the Kurilko family will miss him.

Ray Paske was a larger-than-life figure around our house as our Dad, Ray's then Coach, would often tell superhero-like sports stories at the dinner table about him while my brothers & I hung on his every word. In everyday life, Ray devoted himself to his family, his friends while personifying excellence in his professional pursuits. Our Dad always told us how Ray lead by example, was humbly confident in his abilities and was a great listener while never imposing his opinions on others. Our family is deeply saddened by the news of Ray's passing and we extend our sincere condolences to the entire Paske family.
The world is decidedly a little less bright today in Ray's absence but we hope you & Coach are enjoying each others company and sharing a few stories together once again. Godspeed, Ray.

Ray Paske was a consummate Christian , devoted Husband and Father and a true Patriot for the country he loved. Always remembered for his leadership in Sports, we people with Buffalo roots, best think of Ray as that quiet gentleman who was always a solid friend, listener and a pleasure to be around.
May he Rest in Peace and our deepest condolences to the entire extended Paske Family.

Ray played football for my father at St Joe’s in Buffalo, NY back in the 50s. Stories about him were common at our dinner table and his nickname was Wham-O based on the hits he delivered to his opponents. He continued his football career at Army and one of my first memories was of Ray scoring his first Army TD in my honor on my first birthday. Later in my life he was present at my first communion at the Cadet Chapel at West Point. I still remember meeting him and Ginny there that day, and that he set up my first experience with a tank. Later on in life I decided to follow in his footsteps and attend West Point myself. I graduated 18 years after my childhood idol. Lately I’d been thinking a lot about Ray as the various USMA emails come across my computer. Our thoughts are with Ginny and the Paske family as they deal with this tremendous loss. The USMA Alma Mater verse seems to fit in this situation:
And when our work is done,
Our course on earth is run,
May it be said “Well Done”
Be thou at peace
