Obituary of Paul R. Boller

Paul R. Boller, 88, passed away on January 3, 2024 surrounded by his loving family at home.

Paul was born and raised in Morris Plains and remained a lifetime resident, only moving across the street from his childhood home.

He attended St. Virgil’s School, Morristown High School and graduated from The Newark College of Engineering. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army.

Paul worked as a Tool maker for Howmet Corp. for 50 years.

Paul was also a lifelong parishioner of St. Virgil’s Parish and member of the Knights of Columbus. 

Paul is survived by his loving wife of 68 years, Barbara Boller; and his devoted children, Paul Boller, Jr. and his wife, Nancy, Emil Boller and his wife, Kathy, Frances Boller, and her husband, Rick Mina, Thomas Boller, and his wife, Allison, and Theresa Townsend and her husband, Mike. He is also survived by his beloved sister, Anna Maddaluna; his cherished grandchildren, Michelle and Vito DeCarlo, Thomas and Jessica Boller, Jr., Matthew Boller, Andrew Boller, Alexis Boller, Michael Boller, Melissa Boller, Michael Townsend, and Justin “The Duke” Townsend; his adored great-grandchildren, Charlie and Nina Boller; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Paul was predeceased by his grandson, Jordan Krakauer.

Family and friends are welcome to gather on Wednesday, January 10, 2024 from 4-8pm at Dangler Funeral Home, 600 Speedwell Avenue, Morris Plains. A Funeral Mass for Paul will be held on Thursday, January 11, 2024 at 10:00am at St. Virgil’s Church, 250 Speedwell Avenue, Morris Plains. Interment will follow at Gate of Heaven.
