Dearest Cheryl Ann,
I believe with all my heart that our time together was appointed by God because you have taught me so much. The bible says the genuine mark of a “true Christian” is “unconditional love” and that others will recognize those who belong to Christ by our love for one another. Sad to say, I’ve never known “unconditional love” among Christians until you, Cheryl Ann came along into my life. God used you to show me the reality of His truth.
Your example of love to me was experienced every time we visited together. I will always remember how you would run to me with a giant smile on your face and hug me as tight as you could when I entered your house. Your happiness would spread throughout the entire house as you would dance around to the music and laugh and smile and your roommates would get happy with you and dance and laugh and have so much fun.
I will always remember our walks, our sitting in the rocking chairs on your front porch, our coloring pictures together, watching Hello Kitty video’s and most of all our visits to Dunkin Donuts making sure stuffed puppy was always right there with you. Every time I see a balloon, it will always bring a memory of you.
While the church people are fighting among themselves, you my darling Cheryl Ann was living the gospel toward me without evening knowing it. Your appreciation of such little things and your innocence was the brightest light shining in a very dark world. You are my hero of “unconditional love”.
I am not an artist that can paint a picture with canvas and brush but I am able to paint a picture with words that reflects the life of Cheryl Ann and those words come from the bible in 1st Corinthians chapter 13 verses 4 thru 7 which says: Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love Never Fails.
Cheryl Ann, thank you for being a living testimony of the gospel of Jesus Christ. I have had the honor of being with a person of a truly pure heart. I will not say goodbye, I will say I will see you again in heaven when my time arrives to come home.
