So sad to hear the news.....good friend back in the day and a great sports fan. Seems like yesterday (gulp 1977) we went to the old Giants Stadium to see the Jets v Baltimore Colts in a pouring rain storm. Mother Nature was no match for John and his sunny disposition. Rest In Peace!

I will really miss my regular phone calls with John to just catch-up. He ALWAYS made me laugh with his "smart humor". John was such a kind, friendly, intelligent man who was so incredily proud of his family. His friends at NJELSA will miss him dearly.

My deepest sympathy to the Hughes Family. Thoughts and prayers and much love to you all. John was not only a generous and considerate employer but a genuinely nice person, who loved to share his cooking knowledge as well as his boy's accomplishments. I will miss our birthday and holiday texts to each other.
