Q: What 3 words best describe Scott and why?
A: I will love your always.
How shall I love thee? Let me count the ways.
I love thee to the depth and breadth and height
My soul can reach, when feeling out of sight
For the ends of being and ideal grace
I love thee to the level of every day's
Most quiet need, by sun and candlelight.
I love thee freely, as men strive for right.
I love thee purely, as they turn from praise.
I love thee with the passion put to use
In my old griefs and with any childhood's faith.
I love thee with a love I seem to lose with my lost saints. I love thee with the breath,
Smiles, tears all of my life, and if God chose,
I shall but love thee better after death

I am very saddened to hear this news. My thoughts and prayers are with the Loucks family. I have so many fond memories with Scott. I believe we first met when we were in 4th grade attending Summer Playground at Francisco Park. We ended up spending many days and nights together in middle school and high school, both on the field and in school. Whenever I think of Scott, even at this sad time, it just brings a smile to my face since I think every time we were together we were smiling and laughing. A great friend.

Scott n I met as kids when our fathers taught n coached together at Rutherford HS. I was always excited when I knew our families were getting together. Holidays, football games, swim clubs, family BBQs n golfing r some things I loved doing together. In our adult life when we had fewer visits u would never know it as we picked up right where we left off. Lots of smiles n laughing as we caught up. Truly great personality in Scott. One that I'll miss n remember always. Love you Cuz!

How fortunate our family was to have a member like Scott. After our family moved away from New Jersey I only saw him intermittently. At one family reunion in North Carolina he was the one constantly jumping in the stream at rather inconvenient times, like immediately before his family was getting ready to depart. He could be quite the scamp!
He was a sweet little boy who grew into a wonderful man. I will always remember him sitting on the floor and playing make believe with his three year old daughter.
When he was about five, I took a picture of him proudly showing off his ladybug tattoo on his bicep. That photograph, then became a stippled portrait of him. While doing so,I studied his countenance for hours and the sweet expression on his face. He never lost that sweet smile. Through all of his personal challenges he persevered and was a true example of courage.
Wishing peace to him and loved ones,
Cousin Lynn M. Vanderhoff
Daughter of Barbara Loucks Vanderhoff

I lost touch with Scott after college and hearing of his passing, saddened me. I had many fond memories with Scott, he definitely was a free spirit.
