Obituary of Scott B. Loucks
Scott Loucks passed away at the age of 54 on Saturday, December 21st at Valley Hospital in Paramus, NJ, after he lived bravely for 18 months with a cancer diagnosis. He appreciated every minute of that time and lived life to the fullest. He was dearly loved by his family and he loved them back the same.
Scott was born in Ridgewood, NJ, just miles from where he passed. At a very young age, his parents moved to West Caldwell and raised Scott and his siblings there.
Scott grew up with great friends, in a fantastic community, and enjoyed his high school years playing for the Caldwell Chiefs on the football field and wrestling mat. He attended Bloomsberg University in Bloomsberg, PA, playing on their football team and graduating with a B.A. degree.
Outside of those college years, Scott lived in NJ his entire life, most recently in Wood Ridge. He had a successful sales career with Orascoptic for many years.
He loved being on the golf course and maximized every minute he could be there, playing multiple balls each hole and multiple rounds in a day. He appreciated the beauty of nature and the sun on his face. He enjoyed time with his family celebrating milestones, sitting on a deck in LBI, or watching a game on tv. He’d be at his nephews’ sporting events cheering them on and bringing smiles to their faces when they heard him.
Scott loved his daughter, Kristin Loucks; his parents, Marilyn and Doug Loucks; his brother, Doug Loucks and his wife, Mimi Loucks; his sister, Kristy Linnehan and her husband, Bryon Linnehan; his niece, Maya Loucks; his nephews, Trevor Loucks, Conner Linnehan, and Rex Linnehan; his Uncle Ted Lyons and Linda Triglia; and many cousins.
Scott loved to laugh, had the most beautiful smile, was generous in every way, cared deeply about his loved ones, and he was loved tremendously.
A Celebration of Life gathering is anticipated to be held in the Spring.
