It is a request of Dennis’ family that in his honor, men should not wear neck ties for either the visitation on Wednesday, or the Mass on Thursday.

Obituary of Dennis F. Leary

Dennis Frank Leary, 66, of Oak Ridge, NJ, passed away on September 23, 2017 at his home.
Born in Morristown, Dennis lived in Lake Hopatcong, prior to moving to Oak Ridge, where he resided for the past 30 years.


Dennis graduated from Madison High School in 1970. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Marines, honorably discharged as a Sargent. He worked as a Receiving Associate at Home Depot in Riverdale for 13 years until his retirement in 2013.


Dennis is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Maryanne Chipoletti Leary, a relationship that started with their first date 50 years ago. He is also survived by his beloved mother, Catherine Stanton Leary. He is also survived by his devoted daughter, Deena Leary, and his dear son, Steven Leary and his wife, Andzelika.  He is also survived by his cherished grandchildren, Kaylie and Rayna Leary, and Samantha Leary. In addition, Dennis is survived by his siblings, Cathy, Jim, John, and Kevin as well as Maryanne’s siblings, Chip, Gary, and Donna and their extended respective families.


Family and friends are welcome to gather on Wednesday, September 27, 2017 for the visitation from    4-7 pm at Burroughs, Kohr & Dangler Funeral Home, 106 Main St., Madison. A Memorial Mass will be held on Thursday, September 28, 2017, at 10:30 am at St. Vincent Martyr Church, 26 Green Village Road, Madison. Interment will be private.


In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations may be made in memory of Dennis to a charity of your choice.


It is also a request of Dennis’ family that in his honor, men should not wear neck ties for either the visitation on Wednesday, or the Mass on Thursday.
