Obituary of James Thomas Melone

James Thomas Melone, 74, passed away at Arbor Terrace, Morris Plains, on July 23, 2018. He was born in North Arlington, NJ, and resided for the past 46 years in Madison, NJ.

James graduated from Queen of Peace High School, North Arlington, and St. Peter’s College, Jersey City, in 1966 with a degree in Business Administration.  He worked for Berje’, Bloomfield, NJ, as their Chief Financial Officer. He was also a member of St. Vincent Martyr Church, Madison.

He is survived by his devoted wife, Susan F. (Gill) Melone and his loving children, Michael Melone and his wife, Marissa, Branchville, NJ, Julie Hickey and her husband, Damian, Boston, MA, Emily Melone, Moorestown, NJ, Molly Mills and her husband, Brad, Moorestown, NJ, as well as his cherished grandchildren, Riley, Jacqueline, Fionnuala, Maggie, Avery, Declan and Gracie. He is also survived by his brother, Carl Melone and his wife, Ann, Ridgewood, NJ and his sister, Mary Ann Ryan and her husband, Michael, Harrington Park, NJ.

Family and friends are welcome to gather on Thursday, July 26, 2018, from 4-7 pm at Burroughs, Kohr & Dangler Funeral Home, 106 Main St., Madison, NJ 07940. A Funeral Mass for James will be celebrated on Friday, July 27, 2018, at 11:00am at St. Vincent Martyr Church, 26 Green Village Road, Madison. Interment is private.
