Dear Eddie, Maureen, Tommy, Brian, Reg, Perpetua and Seton,
I am so sorry and incredibly heartbroken of the news of Eileen's passing. I can still remember when she entered the world as the first baby of the New Year. The obituary says it all. Eileen defined who she was by living an example of a woman who loved her family and her life, regardless of her illness. She had a giving and generous spirit that had no limitations.
After my sister Colleen died in 2010, Eileen showed up at my mother's door on February 24, 2011, which was Colleen's birthday - with a bouquet of flowers. I'll never forget the generosity and love of that tremendous gesture of comfort. She herself was fighting the battle, but did not let that deter her from reaching out with love.
Words fail me in describing the depth of emotion I feel, but I want you and your loved ones to know that Eileen will always live in my heart, and you will all be in my prayers.
